About
One half of the popular Cantopop group Twins, Charlene Choi has enjoyed phenomenal success over the years as both a chart-topping singer and award-winning actress. She made her feature film debut at the age of 19 with a minor role in What is a Good Teacher (2000), and has since appeared in over fifty movies in a career spanning around two decades. Some of Choi's most acclaimed performances have come in movies like Funeral March (2001), Vampire Effect (2003), Diva: Ah Hey (2003) and the psychological thriller Sara (2015), the last of which earned her Best Actress nominations at the Hong Kong Film Awards and Chinese Film Media Awards. Choi also won the Golden Lotus Award at the Macau International Movie Festival for her work in Sara (2015).

Choi's collaboration with fellow musician-turned-actress Gillian Chung led to the formation of the Cantopop group Twins in 2001. In the course of their association, the duo has released fifteen albums, three extended plays and four live albums; with most of their singles consistently topping several music charts. Other significant acting credits include New Police Story (2004), the action-comedy Rob-B-Hood (2006), the action-fantasy The Sorcerer and the White Snake (2011) and the horror comedy Always Be with You (2017).
