American actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer and musician Charlie Day (born Charles Peckham Day) is best known for his work in the Horrible Bosses film series and the acclaimed black comedy sitcom It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Day started out in 2000 through minor roles in tv shows like Law & Order and Madigan Men, and got his big break in 2005 when he essayed the role of Charlie Kelly in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. His performance in the long-running series has earned Day Critics Choice Television Award and Satellite Award nominations for Best Actor in a Comedy, and he has also served as a writer in more than forty episodes of the black comedy.
The hit 2011 black comedy Horrible Bosses (2011) helped Day make his mark in Hollywood, and he has since appeared in movies like Pacific Rim (2013), Horrible Bosses 2 (2014) and I Love You, Daddy (2017). He is also a popular voice actor, having voiced characters in blockbusters like Monsters University (2013) and The Lego Movie (2014). Other significant acting credits include the comedy Fist Fight (2017) and the sci-fi action film Pacific Rim Uprising (2018), the latter of which is a sequel to the 2013 blockbuster Pacific Rim.
