Charlton Heston (born October 4, 1924, in Evanston, US) is an American actor and director who served World War II by turning down his scholarship to Northwestern. He made his Broadway debut in ‘Anthony and Cleopatra’ and later made his big screen directorial debut with ‘Anthony and Cleopatra’. His breakthrough came with the role as Moses in Ten Commandments. He has won two Golden Globes, an SAG and an Oscar. He was married to Lydia Clarke and has a son and deceased on April 5, 2008.
