Best known for producing the Despicable Me franchise, Chris Meledandri is an American film producer and entrepreneur. The founder and the CEO of the Illumination Entertainment, a film production company, Chris made his debut as a producer with the American drama film Quicksilver (1986), which is written and directed by Thomas Michael Donnelly. His other notable production ventures include Opportunity Knocks (1990), Cool Runnings (1993), Trial by Jury (1994), Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006), The Lorax (2012), Sing (2016), and Despicable Me 3 (2017).
