Christophe Gans is a French film director, writer and producer whose work is majorly centred around horror and fantasy elements and video game adaptions. Gans got a taste of filmmaking at a very early age. As a teenager, he made a lot of Kung Fu and Super8 movies. He went on to attend the French film school Idec, where he made Silver Slime, his first short film. After graduating, he worked as a film critic for a while before directing his first film Necronomicon (1993). Some of his notable works include Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001) which was a worldwide success and went on to become the second highest-grossing French film in the U.S since 1980. His 2016 project includes Beauty and the Beast.
