Cliff Martinez is an American musician, composer, drummer and a former member of the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. A winner of the Best Composer Award at the Cannes Film Festival, Martinez made his debut as a film composer with the 1989 drama Sex, Lies, and Videotape. Since then, he has scored the music for several films and television shows, notable among which are Kafka (1991), Traffic (2000), Drive (2011), Only God Forgives (2013), The Neon Demon (2016), Rough Night (2017), Den of Thieves (2018), Game Night (2018) and Hotel Artemis (2018). Significant television credits include Pee-wee`s Playhouse, Knick and The Normal Heart.
