An English actor, Clive Own raised to fame for playing the lead role in the ITV series Chancer (1990-91) and later received wide critical acclaim for his work in the feature film Close My Eyes (1991). An Academy Award nominee and the winner of a Golden Globe and BAFTA Awards, Owen earned widespread international fame with his appearance in Croupier (1998) where he played the role of a struggling writer. Having started his journey in the entertainment industry with TV series Vroom in 1988, the actor eventually starred in several series` and TV films like Chancer (1990), Close My Eyes (1991), An Evening With Gary Linekar (1994), Bad Boy Blues (1995) and Sharma (1995-96) before eventually making his foray in the feature film. Few of his most notable film credits include Gosford Park (2001), Closer (2004), Shoot `Em Up (2007), Trust (2010), Hemingway & Gellhorn (2012), Words and Pictures. His other releases include Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, The Informer and Gemini Man.
