Craig Robinson is often recognised as either Darryl Philbin or Doug Judy, his iconic characters from The Office (2005-2013) and Brooklyn 99 (2013-Present) respectively. Before essaying the comedic roles in these sitcoms, Robinson first started out as a stand-up comedian. He began improv and acting classes while in college and afterwards bagged open mic shows at New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. This opened the gateway for him to short stints in TV shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live (2003-Present), Friends (2004) and Arrested Development (2005) and in films like Knocked Up (2007) and Pineapple Express (2008). This was followed by his work in The Office and Brooklyn 99, which remain his most famous roles. His 2020 releases include
Dolittle, in which he is a voice actor for a squirrel named Kevin.
