D Singampuli is an Indian film actor and director who works predominantly in the Tamil film industry. He made his entry into the film industry as a director with Red (2002) which had Ajith Kumar and Priya Gill in the lead. He next directed Suriya and Jyothika in Mayaavi (2005). Singampuli made his acting debut in his guru, Bala`s Naan Kadavul (2009). Since then he has acted in movies like Thoonga Nagaram (2011), Muthukku Muthaaga (2011), Aravaan (2012), Kadal (2013), Sigaram Thodu (2014), Oru Oorla Rendu Raja (2014), Oru Oorla Rendu Raja (2014), Kaadu (2014), Kaaviya Thalaivan (2014), Kallappadam (2015), Demonte Colony (2015), Muthina Kathirika (2016), Bayam Oru Payanam (2016), Aandavan Kattalai (2016), Aandavan Kattalai (2016), Aandavan Kattalai (2016) and Yaakkai (2017). He has also acted in Gipsy N Rajkumar`s Ayyanaar Veethi (2017), which has Yuvan, Sara Shetty, Sinju Mohan, K.Bhagyaraj and Ponvannan in important roles. He is associated with the 2018 Tamil romantic-drama Pathungi Paayanum Thala directed by S P Moses Muthupandi, starring Michael and Nainikaa in the lead roles. His 2019 release includes Ganesha Meendum Santhipom, directed by Ratheesh Erate. His 2020 release includes Irandam Kuththu.
