A popular Indian TV, theater and TV actor, Dalip Tahil is best noted for playing mostly supporting and villainous roles in Bollywood cinema and Hindi TV industry. An alumnus of the Aligarh Muslim University, Dalip had a penchant for acting from a very early age; he was an active participant in the various plays and drama competitions during school. He began his professional acting career after he moved to Mumbai in 1968 and joined the Theatre Group Bombay where he trained under the tutelage of acclaimed theatre directors like Alyque and Pearl Padamsee. After working in the theatre industry for a brief period, Dalip made his debut on the silver screen with Ankur (1974). Some of her other notable film credits include Arth (1982),
