An American film editor, Dan Zimmerman is the son of the former renowned editor Don Zimmerman. Zimmerman got interested in film editing by watching his father's work and he even assisted his father on films like The Nutty Professor (1996) and The Cat in the Hat (2003). He made his debut as an independent editor with The Real Cancun (2003) and his other notable films include Max Payne (2008), Predators (2010), A Good Day to Die Hard (2013), The Maze Runner (2014), and The Dark Tower (2017), an American science fiction western action horror film directed by Nikolaj Arcel.
