In the course of a career spanning over two decades, Chinese-American actor Daniel Wu has appeared in around 70 feature films. He made his debut in 1998, appearing in well-received movies like Young and Dangerous: The Prequel, Bishonen and City of Glass in the very first year of his career. Following his rise to prominence courtesy of the acclaimed Jackie Chan starrer New Police Story (2004) and the crime-drama One Nite in Mongkok (2004), Wu Ventured into filmmaking in 2006 with the musical dramedy The Heavenly Kings (2006). His work in the film earned Wu the Chinese Film Media Award for Best New Director that year.
The action-fantasy Warcraft: The Beginning (2016), the disaster film Geostorm (2017) and the action-adventure film Tomb Raider (2018) are among Wu's notable acting credits in Hollywood. Besides these, he has also appeared in a starring role in the popular American TV series Into the Badlands (2015-).
