Daniel Vega is Chilean actress and singer, best known for her lead role in the critically acclaimed film A Fantastic Woman (2017). Vega started out as a stage actress before moving on to films, making her debut with The Guest (2014). She won praise and several awards for her performance in A Fantastic Woman. The film itself won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. In 2018, Vega also became the first transgender person in history to be a presenter at the Oscars. Her other credits include the Netflix series Tales of the City (2019).
