One of the founding members of the popular rock band Priestbird, Danny Bensi first ventured into film score composing with Two Gates of Sleep (2010), for which he scored the music along with his long-time collaborator and friend Saunder Jurriaans. The duo has since gone on to make their mark in cinema through a number of acclaimed indie movies, notable among which are the thriller drama Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011), the psychological thriller Enemy (2013), the thriller The Gift (2015) and the supernatural horror film The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016).
Their work in the Jake Gyllenhaal starrer Enemy won Bensi and Jurriaans the Canadian Screen Award for Best Music in 2014. Other significant titles in Bensi`s discography include the sci-fi thriller The One I Love (2014), the noir thriller Frank & Lola (2016), the romantic crime thriller Siberia (2018), Boy Erased (2018), The Rental (2020) and The Devil All the Time (2020).
