Dave Johns is an English actor, stand up comedian, talented improviser and writer. He is perhaps best known for playing the lead role in Ken Loach`s feature film I, Daniel Blake (2016), for which he won the 2016 BIFA for Best Actor. The movie also won the highest prize, the Palme d`Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

Over the years, Johns has also been a part of TV shows like Mud (1994-1995), Rag Nymph (1997), Harry Hill (1997-2000), Time Gentlemen Please (2000-2002), Inspector George Gently (2007- ) and It`s Kevin (2013).
