An American screenwriter, playwright and theatre director David Auburn is known for working predominantly in Hollywood as well as the theatre industry. A recipient of the Tony Award for Best Play and Pulitzer Prize for Drama for his play Proof (2000), Auburn is the man behind a lot of short plays as well as screenplays. He started his journey as a screenwriter with Proof and moved on to The Lake House (2006), The Girl in the Park (2007) which he also directed, and Georgetown (2019). He is credited with writing the story of the third installment of the action film Charlie`s Angels (2019).
