David Dastmalchian is an American actor and writer, known for his work in film, television and theatre. Before making his acting debut, he did several odd jobs like being a professional fisherman in Alaska, a circus performer and a movie theatre usher. Dastmalchian studied acting at The Theatre School, DePaul University. He made his acting debut in Christopher Nolan's film, The Dark Knight (2008). Dastmalchian's other appearances include Sushi Girl (2012), The League (2012), Saving Lincoln (2013), Prisoners (2013), Chronic (2015), Ant-Man (2015) and The Belko Experiment (2016). He has also starred in TV shows like 12 Monkeys (2015), Gotham (2014), The Flash (2014) and Twin Peaks (2017). Dastmalchian also wrote the story for the 2014 movie, Animals and also starred in it. In 2017 he starred in Blade Runner 2049, Denis Villeneuve's sequel to the 1982 sci-fi classic, Blade Runner. The movie has Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Robin Wright and Jared Leto in prominent roles.
In 2018, he appeared alongside Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly in Peyton Reed's Hollywood action adventure sci-fi Ant-Man and the Wasp.
