A Swedish-Danish actor, David Dencik is noted for his work in both Swedish, Danish and Hollywood films. Born in Stockholm, Sweden, David was raised in Denmark. As a teenager, David got interested in Capoeira, the Brazilian martial art that combines the elements of dance and music and dance, which triggered his interest in theater. He later moved to Sweden and went to the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. He started his acting career with a small role in Lasermannen, a mini-series in 2005.
Over the years he has starred in movies like The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009), Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (2011), The Absent One (2014), and The Snowman (2017), a British crime thriller directed by Tomas Alfredson.
