Pulitzer Prize winner in 2006, David Finkel is an American journalist. He has authored the books The Good Soldiers and Thank You for Your Service. Finkel won a Pulitzer Prize while he was working as a Staff Writer with The Washington Post. In 2013, DreamWorks acquired the rights to his book Thank You For Your Service which narrates the story of American soldiers suffering from posttraumatic disorders after returning from Iraq. However, the book was adapted into a movie in 2017 titled Thank You For Your Service directed by Jon Hall.
