David Grann is an American journalist, best-selling author, and story writer. His first book The Lost city of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsessions in the Amazon was among the top rated books in the New York Times bestseller list. The book is adapted into a film titled The Lost City of Z directed by James Gray and Grann is credited as the writer for the same.
