David Holmes is a Northern Irish electronic musician and composer who began his career in the 1990s. Holmes began DJ-ing in the mid-`80s as a teenager and went on to deliver his first hit - "De Niro" = in 1992. He later also ran two night clubs - Sugar Sweet and Shake Yer Brain - at the Belfast Art College.

In 1998, he composed the soundtrack for Steven Soderbergh`s movie Out of Sight and has since then collaborated with the Soderbergh for movies such as Ocean`s 11 (2001), Ocean`s 12 (2004), and Ocean`s 13 (2007). Some of his other movie credits include Analyze That (2003), Cherry bomb (2009), and `71 (2014). In 2017, he worked on Steven Soderbergh`s movie Lucky Logan. His 2020 release includes Ordinary Love.
