Canadian filmmaker and animator Dean DeBlois is popularly known for co-writing and co-directing Walt Disney Animation Studios` Oscar-nominated animated films Lilo & Stitch and DreamWorks Animation`s How to Train Your Dragon Trilogy. DeBlois began his career as an assistant animator and layout artist and contributed to quite a number of small productions as The Raccoons, The Teddy Bears` Picnic, and The Nutcracker Prince. A Troll in Central Park and Thumbelina. In the year 1994, DeBlois started working for Walt Disney Feature Animation as a storyboard artist and later served as Head of Story for Mulan (1998) and Lilo & Stitch (2002).
He also contributed to some video games and TV series such as Jumba`s Experiment Profiler (2005), Leroy & Stitch (2006), and Stitch! (2008-2010). In 2008, he began working for DreamWork Animation and co-wrote and co-directed fantasy-action film How to Train Your Dragon (2010), followed by its sequels, How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014) and How to Train Your Train: The Hidden World (2019).
He also contributed to some video games and TV series such as Jumba`s Experiment Profiler (2005), Leroy & Stitch (2006), and Stitch! (2008-2010). In 2008, he began working for DreamWork Animation and co-wrote and co-directed fantasy-action film How to Train Your Dragon (2010), followed by its sequels, How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014) and How to Train Your Train: The Hidden World (2019).
