Debanshu Shekhar, founder of Naatakwaale Theatre Company, began his theater journey in 2008 at Delhi University, where he was an active member of his college's theater society. Determined to turn his passion into a profession, he joined the Bhartendu Natya Academy (BNA) in Lucknow in 2011 and completed a two-year Master's degree in Dramatic Arts.
In 2013, he founded Naatakwaale Theatre Company. Since then, he has directed and performed in over 60 plays across India, conducted more than 400 acting workshops, and trained over 1,200 actors. Currently based in Mumbai, Debanshu continues to lead Naatakwaale Theatre Company, creating original productions, mentoring aspiring actors, and using theater as a powerful medium for storytelling and social impact. In 2024, he published his first book, FADE IN: The Essential Skills for Acting, a practical guide for aspiring actors and theater enthusiasts.
