Entering the film industry in 2005 with the horror movie, Within, Debbie Berman is an South-African born, American film editor. Before getting into movies, Berman worked as an editor on the reality TV shows, Big Brother South Africa (2002), Big Brother Africa (2003) and Making the Cut (2004). She has worked on TV shows like Peak Season (2009), Haven (2010-2015), and Timeless (2016- ). Berman`s credits as a movie editor include Space Chimps (2008), The Zero Sum (2009), Black November (2012), The United (2012) and The Final Girls (2015).
Berman got her biggest break in 2017 with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming. In 2018 Ryan Coogler approached her to edit the 18th movie in MCU, Black Panther. Her latest 2019 release includes Captain Marvel, starring Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson in prominent roles.
