Popularly known for his Bengali film work, Debesh Chattopadhyay is an Indian Bengali film and theatre director and actor. He has contributed immensely towards the Bengali film industry and has even acted in a few Bengali movies. His work includes Herbert (2005) Chaplin (2011) and IYE : The Others (2018).

Chattopadhyay has been associated with theatre since the time he was 18 years old. In 1989 he joined Bengali theatre group Shilpayan and became a full-time theatre artist.
