A writer, director, and actor, Debu Pattnaik is noted for his works in Bengali and Odia film industry. Having started his career as an assistant director, Debu assisted many renowned directors in films like Suhaga Sindura (1996), Jai Sriram (1999), Sathire (2004), Romeo: The Lover Boy (2009). Debu got his first break as a director with Mahanayak (2007) and over the years he has directed films like Premi No. 1 (2009) and Tora More Jodi Sundara (2010). Apart from direction, Debu has also acted in many films like Nari Bi Pindhipare Rakta Sindura (1997), Swamir Deoa Sindur (2005) and Jabardast Premika (2016).
