Deep Roy was born in Kenya to parents of Indian origin. He is an actor best known for his performances in the films Return to Oz (1985), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), Big Fish (2003), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness (2013). He has also been a part of the hit television series Doctor Who. He was seen in the 2016 Star Trek instalment Star Trek Beyond.
