Acclaimed director Deepak Kadam has helmed several successful TV shows and films, and he is also an actor and producer. Deepak, who also has years of stage experience, initially worked in ad agencies and also directed several TV shows such as Rang Birangi, Gammat Jammat, Abhal Toltana, and Matruchhaya. His movie credits include Laxmi Tuzyavina (2014), Eka Lagnachi Goshta, Verdict, Ashi Hi Fasava Fasavi, and Golmaal Premacha.

In the first half of 2017, Deepak directed Nagarsevak Ek Nayak which was declared as a blockbuster at the box office. His second movie of the year, Wakya, was screened at the Navi Mumbai International Film Festival and also won the Best Social Issue Film Award at NIFF (Nasik International Film Festival) and Best Viewers' Choice Award at the Mumbai International Film Festival in 2014. The movie received a theatrical release in India in 2017.
