Best-remembered for essaying the titular role in Sasural Simar Ka (2011-2016), Indian actress Dipika Kakar started out on the small screen and appeared in supporting roles in popular daily soap like Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo (2009) and Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi (2010). Kakar has also appeared in dance-based reality shows such as Jhalak Dikhla Jaa and Nach Baliye. The actress made her silver screen debut in J. P. Dutta's war film Paltan (2018) starring Arjun Rampal and Jackie Shroff.
