Dhruv Vikram is a South Indian actor who primarily works in Tamil films. The son of the famous Tamil actor
Vikram, Dhruv has always dreamed of following in the same profession. His father, he claims, is his role model and also his biggest supporter. He is a method actor who trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. He has even directed a short film on YouTube, called Goodnight Charlie which deals with the subject of child abuse.
In 2019 he bagged the lead role for
Adithya Varma, the remake of Sandeep Vanga`s Telugu film
Arjun Reddy, which also became his debut film. However, the process was not easy. The first version of the film was scrapped and the whole thing remade, with Dhruv sticking to the lead role. In the film, Dhruv plays a genius surgeon who resorts to alcohol and substance abuse after a bad break up. He has revealed that green tea and an apple flavoured drink were used in the scenes of the movie where he appeared intoxicated. He shares the screen with
