Diahann Carroll is an American television and stage actress and singer, who had worked over 70 projects. She was best known for her works in Julia (1968), Dynasty (1981), Claudine (1974) & Eve`s Bayou (1997). Her role in Julia made her the first African American actress to star in her own television series. In 1968, She won Golden Globe for Best TV Star Female & Black Reel Award for Best Television Supporting Actress. She received an Academy Award for Best Actress nomination for the film Claudine (1974). Diahann Carroll last appeared in the 2015 biographical film The Masked Saint, directed by Warren P. Sonoda.
