Dick Van Dyke, born as Richard Wayne Van Dyke is an American actor, comedian, writer, singer, dancer, and producer. Van Dyke`s brother Jerry is also an actor, best known for his role in the TV show Coach. He started his career as a radio DJ in Illinois. He made his debut in the television show The Phil Silvers Show. He went on to star in a few other television shows like New Comedy Showcase and Look Up and Live. Van Dyke made his Hollywood debut in the television film Henry Fonda and the Family (1962).

He went on to act in films like Mary Poppins (1964) and Lt. Robinson Crusoe, U.S.N (1966). Van Dyke turned producer with the film Cold Turkey (1971). Some of his other notable works includes films like The Runner Stumbles (1979), Dick Tracy (1990), Night at the Museum (2005), Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009) and television shows like The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Bill Cosby Show, American Playhouse, Diagnosis Murder and many more. He now has the film Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb lined up.
