Aaryan Dinesh Kanagaratnam popularly known as ADK is a Sri Lankan Hip-Hop and R&B music artist and song writer and the only Sri Lankan artist to feature with the Oscar-award winning composer, A.R. Rahman. He started his career in the music industry in 2005 with his debut single, Naan Sonnal with Bathiya and Santhush. Apparently, Aaryan Dinesh Kanagaratnam is the highest paid Sri Lankan Tamil Rapper.The lead song in his album Cross Culture with Gajan Maheson in 2007, Cross Culture track went viral in Sri Lanka. It went all the way to No.1, in Tamil and Sinhala charts in Sri Lanka.. While running on his success, ADK went on to produce another elevator music called Kuruvi with Charles Bosco which featured Arjun, Suvi and Benny Dayal. Kuruvi made a huge success by hitting more than 1.04 million hits on Youtube. ADK also featured with Singapore artist Shabir, to produce Nagaravettei. Thereafter, he went on to produce music with leading Malaysian and Singapore artists. By that time, ADK was the only Sri Lankan artist who worked on the most number of songs in the South Indian Entertainment Industry in 2010, which marked another milestone in his musical career. ADK then released his magnum opus album under his own record label in 2012 in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore and Europe. Recently, the leading telecommunication company in Sri Lanka published his single, You Ate My Money in a promotion for northern Sri Lanka. He featured in a track called Magudi from the movie Kadal, directed by legendary film director, Mani Ratnam. He is the music director of the upcoming film, Krishnashtami which is set to release in February, 2016.
