English actor Dominic Edward Cooper started off on stage and acted celebrated plays, including Mother Clap's Molly House (2001), A Midsummer Night's Dream (2002), His Dark Materials (2004), and The History Boys (2004), which was later adapted into a film with the same name. The actor has also been a part of quite a few television series, including The Infinite Worlds of H. G. Wells (2001), Down To Earth (2004), Sense and Sensibility (2008) and Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond (2014), which earned her a nomination for Satellite Award for Best Actor in a Miniseries or a Motion Picture Made for Television.

After his successful stint in Alan Bennett's play The History Boys, Cooper went on to star in the film adaptation of the play, The History Boys. He earned nominations for the British Independent Film Award, British Film Critics' Circle Award, London Critics' Circle Film Award, and an Empire Award. Later, he appeared in popular films like Mamma Mia! (2008), Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012), and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014). In the same year, he played the role of the main antagonist in Need for Speed and Dracula Untold. His other projects include Warcraft (2016), The Escape (2017) and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018).
