An Annie Award-nominee, Dominic Lewis is an English TV and film music composer who is best known for his works in The Man in the High Castle, Money Monster, How to Train Your Dragon, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and X-Men: First Class. Born and raised in London, the UK, Lewis was interested in music from a very early age and he started learning to play the cello since he was three years old. He is also trained in playing the piano and guitar and while growing up he sang in the church choir as well as wrote songs for the rock band he formed in his school.
Lewis, who says that in his early days, he was heavily influenced by the works of the musical legends like The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Claude Debussy, and John Williams, studied music at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music. After completing his studies, Lewis moved to Los Angeles, California and he was recommended to the renowned Hollywood music composer Hans Zimmer by Rupert Greyson-Williams. He later became a resident composer at Hans Zimmer`s Remote Control Productions and started working under the tutelage of John Powell, he assisted Powell in the Academy Award-nominated film, How to Train Your Dragon. The movie marked his debut in a feature film.
Post the great success of his maiden feature film, Lewis subsequently worked in films Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), Money Monster (2016), Rough Night (2017), and Peter Rabbit (2018), an animation adventure comedy directed by Will Gluck. Apart from films, Lewis has also worked extensively in the TV industry. Some of his notable TV series` credits include Kevin from Work (2015), The Man in the High Castle (2015-16) and Duck Tales (2017). His 2021 release includes
