Oscar-nominated American cinematographer Don Burgess is best known for his association with Academy Award-winning writer-director Robert Zemeckis, with whom he has collaborated in movies like Forrest Gump (1994), Cast Away (2000), The Polar Express (2004), Flight (2012) and Allied (2016). A veteran with around four decades of experience behind him, Burgess has helmed the camera department in over forty feature films and has also been nominated once for a BAFTA Award and twice for American Society of Cinematographers` (ASC) Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography Award.
