Doug Liman is an American filmmaker and producer. He is best known for directing the 2002 action spy thriller film The Bourne Identity, the success of which marked the genesis of the widely popular Jason Bourne film franchise. Liman has directed a number of critically acclaimed films in the course of a career spanning over two decades, notably Swingers (1996), Go (1999) and Fair Game (2010), the last of which was nominated for a Palme d`Or at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival. Notable production credits include The Bourne Supremacy (2004), The Bourne Ultimatum (2007) and Jason Bourne (2016). Other significant directorial credits include blockbusters like Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005), Edge of Tomorrow (2014) and American Made (2017).
