Best known for making a splash with his debut movie, Meghdhanushya (2013), Kirankumar R Devmani is an Indian filmmaker, writer, editor, author and former Ayurvedic doctor from Ahmedabad. The Gujarati movie Meghdhanushya told the audience about the gay community in Gujarat and shed light on the various issues plaguing them. The movie ran into trouble with the censor board due to its controversial subject but released after being given an `A` rating by the Indian Censor. The movie opened to positive reviews and a lot of filmmakers applauding Devmani for his sensitive approach to the subject.
In 2018 Devmani directed his second movie, "Tame Keva?", which delves into the prevailing casteism in urban Gujarat. The cast includes Ashish Kakkad, Prabhakar Shukla, Jakir Khan, Anand Devmani and Shraddha Suthar playing pivotal roles.
