Durai is aTamil filmdirector. He has directed more than 45 movies and some of his directed movies are Thotti Jaya, Kadhal Sadugudu, Palaivanathil Pattampoochi and Veerapandian. In 1978 he received Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Director and many more. In 1982, he received the Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu.
