A popular music composer duo, Ebong Somiron is noted for their work mainly in Bengali cinema. The two started their professional career in music by forming a band of their own called Escape Velocity in 2008. They composed many songs together under the band and they rose to fame by winning the first prize in India Fest Band Wagon in 2012. The win got them attention from many Bengali filmmakers. Some of the movie that they have composed for include Mission Narayanpur, Dikhondito, and Pormonochi (2018), a Bengali drama directed by Koushik Kar.
