An alumnus of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London, Elliot Cowan is an English actor, theater artist and musician who is best known for playing the roles of Corporal Jem Poynton in Ultimate Force, Mr. Darcy in Lost in Austen and Ptolemy in the 2004 film Alexander. Having started his acting career as a TV actor, he made his debut on the small screen with Judge John Deed (2001) where he appeared in a single episode titled Duty of Care. Some of his other notable TV credits include Agatha Christie's Poirot (2006), The Fixer (2009), Cilla (2014), and Beowulf (2016).
After a successful start to his acting career in the TV industry, Cowan foraying in films and made his debut on the silver screen with Alexander in 2004. His other notable film credits include Love and Other Disasters (2006), The Golden Compass (2007), Hammer of the Gods (2013), Howl (2016), and Muse (2017).
