Erik Wilson made his film debut as a cinematographer with More Than Dreams (1998), and has since been associated with the camera department of close to thirty movies. Some of his best known works as an independent cinematographer include the comedy-drama Submarine (2010), the black comedy thriller The Double (2013) and the comedy film Paddington (2014). Besides these, Wilson has also worked as a second unit cameraman in movies like The Hills Have Eyes (2006) and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013). Other notable works in his filmography include the comedy films Masterminds (2016) and Paddington 2 (2018).
