Errol Morris is an American film director, who began his career in 1978 film, Gates of Heaven. Morris is known for his films The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara, The Thin Blue Line, The Unknown Known and Mr. Death: The Rise and Fall of Fred A. Leuchter, Jr. In 2003, his film The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
