Estelle Getty was an American actress and comedienne who have worked in film, television, and theatre also. She started her acting career in Yiddish theater and also as a comedian in the Catskills borscht belt resorts. Her various works includes Stuart Little, Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot and TV series such as The Golden Girls, Intimate Portrait: Bea Arthur and Ladies Man. She won the Golden Globe Award in Best Performance by an Actress in a TV-Series - Comedy/Musical for “The Golden Girls” in 1986.
