Eswari Rao is a South Indian actress who had mostly appeared in Tamil and Telugu films. She made her debut in 1990 with Kavithai Paadum Alaigal but the film never released in theatres. Her first break came in Balu Mahendra`s Raman Abdullah (1997). Her other significant films are Guru Paarvai, Simmarasi (1998), Sundari Neeyum Sundaran Naanum (1999), Appu (2000), and Kannathil Muthamittal (2002). After 2006, she took a long break and returned to Telugu cinema with the 2016 blockbuster film Premam. Her role in Nenu Local (2017) brought her back to the limelight. Her 2018 projects include Rajinikanth`s Kaala where she will be seen as the superstar`s onscreen wife.
