Ethel Barrymore was an American actor and a member of the Barrymore family of actors. She began her career on Broadway in 1901. Her major breakthrough came with the film, None But she became famous from, the Lonely Heart, which made her won an Oscar. Her other notable films include Portrait of Jennie, The Spiral Staircase and Pinky. She died at the age of 79, on June 18, 1959 in Beverly Hills.
