She made her stage debut with Girl Crazy and later entered Hollywood. She has acted in movies like Anything Goes, Red Hot and Blue, Call Me Madam and It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. She has won several Grammy Awards for her musicals like You’re the Top and Gypsy: A Musical Fable.
