Evan Rachel Wood is an actress, model, and musician who hails from a family of creative people. Her parents were both actors, and her father is one of the founders of a theatre company. Her two older brothers have also dabbled in music and acting. She is best known for her role as Dolores Abernathy in the HBO series Westworld (2016-Present), for which she won a Critics` Choice Television Award and was also nominated for a Golden Globe and an Emmy. In 2011 the actress came out as bisexual, and in 2016 she revealed that she was a victim of sexual assault. Since then she has started the #IAmNotOkay movement and the Phoenix Act, both meant to promote the rights of survivors of abuse.
Wood herself started acting at the age of 5 when she auditioned alongside Kirsten Dunst for the lead role in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). She made her debut in Digging to China (1997) at the age of nine but gained recognition for her role in the teen drama Thirteen (2003). She initially focused on independent films like Pretty Persuasion (2005) and Down In The Valley (2005), but later worked in mainstream films like Whatever Works (2009) and
The Ides of March (2011). She is also well known for her role as Queen Sophie-Anne in the series True Blood (2009-2011). Additionally, she took part in six fundraising shows of Romeo and Juliet at the Theater In The Park, essaying the lead role. Her 2019 releases include
