Inspired by the groundbreaking visuals of Jurassic Park as a child, Faisal Hashmi discovered his passion for filmmaking early on, captivated by storytelling`s ability to create larger-than-life worlds. Drawing inspiration from legendary filmmakers like Steven Spielberg, Michael Bay, SS Rajamouli, S. Shankar, and Rajkumar Hirani, Faisal aspires to craft stories that connect with audiences while exploring innovative visual techniques.

Faisal began his professional journey in 2015 and made his mark with the widely celebrated Vitamin She (2017). This was followed by Short Circuit (2019), which holds the distinction of being the first science fiction film in Gujarati cinema. His latest project, Faati Ne?, pioneers the use of Dolby Atmos sound design and Motion Capture technology in the region, setting new standards for cinematic storytelling.

Recognized for his skills in screenwriting and direction, Faisal`s work is characterized by stylish visuals, creative camera techniques, and thoughtful integration of CGI and VFX. His stories often spotlight underdog protagonists, resonating with audiences through their emotional depth and relatability.

Deeply influenced by mythology, science fiction, and the mysteries of the unknown, Faisal enjoys crafting immersive worlds that invite viewers to explore new perspectives. With Chikaso slated for release in 2025, Faisal remains committed to pushing boundaries and contributing meaningfully to Gujarati cinema`s growth and evolution.
