British actor Fisayo Akinade wanted to become a gymnast before he took to performing arts. Owing to an injury, Akinade had to take a break from using the gym, however, after he recovered, the gym he used to work out at had shut down. Following this, he contacted a theater and began performing there. Enjoying acting, he took it up as a profession and was seen in television shows like Banana, Cucumber, and Ordinary Lies. Apart from television, Akinade has also worked in movies like The Girl With All The Gifts, and Saint Joan.
